The Read-a-Thon is not only a fun and inspiring event that encourages a love of reading—it’s also the Ocean Air PTA’s main fundraiser of the year. Every dollar raised goes directly back to supporting our students, teachers, school, and community.   This beloved event brings students and families together in the spirit of literacy and school pride. With your support, we’re able to fund programs, events, and supplies that benefit every child at Ocean Air.

When you donate to the Read-a-Thon, you’re helping the PTA provide:

• Teacher Mini-grants so teachers can purchase supplies for their classrooms
• Staff Appreciation Events
• Clubs like Drama, Math and Science Olympiad
• Free community events like Ice Cream Social, Back to School Bash, Halloween Festival, Talent Show, International Night and Field Day for all students and their families
• Gifts to the school like microphones for the MUR and a poster printer

• Enter your name and email address, then click "Submit"
• Follow the instructions on-screen to register Reader(s) and add family and friends

When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.
