OA PTA Presents

2025-26 Drama Club Program

The Wizard of Oz

Presented by: Point Loma Playhouse & 3Peace Studios

Two Award-Winning Nonprofit Arts Organizations

The Wizard of Oz is one of the most beloved musicals of all time, instantly recognizable to students, families, and the community. With its timeless story, iconic songs, and colorful characters, it offers a role for every student - from Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, OZ, Wicked Witch, and Glinda to munchkins, Emerald City citizens, other Ozians, Jitterbugs, Talking trees, and even flying monkeys. Plenty of opportunities for all abilities and experience levels - every student will be actively engaged at all times, avoiding the common issue of long downtime in rehearsals.

Beyond its entertainment value, The Wizard of Oz carries a timeless message about courage, friendship, and the importance of home. It reminds audiences and performers alike that the journey we take and the people we meet along the way can help us discover our own strengths. At its heart, it’s a celebration of teamwork, kindness, and the understanding that what we truly seek may already be within us.
