Most PTA business is conducted REMOTELY using tools like Google Workspace, Slack, WhatsApp, and video conferencing. Event chairs and committees have the FLEXIBILITY to meet virtually or in person, utilizing the PTA room (Room 702) as needed.

ELECTED OFFICERS

 

President - Eunicar Twyman

  • Oversees and coordinates the work of an executive board to run a PTA effectively
  • Appoints Chair positions
  • Authorized signer for PTA checks, contracts and authorizations for payment
  • Attend budget and calendar planning meetings
  • Member of all committees except the nominating committee
  • Attend District Presidents, Principal and NCC meetings

Executive Vice President (EVP) - OPEN

  • Everything the President does 😜 (trainee)
  • Works as the primary aide to the president
  • Assist with calendar planning and updates
  • Performs president’s duties in his or her absence
  • Carries out other duties outlined in unit bylaws and standing rules or as assigned
  • Attend District Presidents, Principal and NCC meetings

 

Secretary - Jamie Valli

  • Manage minutes at board & association meetings ensuring quorum is achieved
  • Assist President with drafting meeting agendas by collaborating with the board
  • Manages PTA & Association calendar entries and changes
  • Co-signs authorizations for payment, resolutions and formal letters

 

Treasurer - Kim Lacy

  • Maintains permanent records to track unit funds and financial transactions
  • Chairs budget committee and prepares annual budget for adoption by the association
  • Pays all PTA bills as authorized by board or association
  • Prepares reports for every board/association meeting and an annual financial report
  • Ensures taxes and reports required by PTA bylaws, insurance or federal and state governments are completed and submitted by the due dates
  • Ensures annual PTA insurance renewal and compliance with CAPTA requirements.
  • Manages Docusign services and users

 

Financial Secretary - Jessica Mashhoun

  • Works closely with the treasurer and other financial officers in handling PTA funds
  • Processes PTA general expense reimbursements 
  • Keeps a record of all PTA funds collected, deposited and disbursed
  • Prepares monthly and annual financial reports
  • Works with other chair for maintenance and accuracy of the Expense/Payment Authorization log

 

Auditor - Sophia Zhang

  • Chairs a committee to audit the books and financial records of a PTA semi-annually 
  • Presents reports on audits to the board for review and the association for adoption
  • Forwards copies of adopted audits to council/district PTA as indicated in unit bylaws

 

Historian - Kalee Ridings

  • Captures, assembles and preserves record of activities and achievements of a PTA
  • Collects volunteer hours for PTA meetings and events
  • Completes and submits the PTA Unit-Annual Historian Report to council/district PTA
  • Presents brief overview of PTA year at meeting near the end of the school year

 

Parliamentarian - Jennifer Oliver

  • Advises the President and executive board on parliamentary procedures
  • Reviews bylaws each year and revise bylaws every three years as needed
  • Arranges nominating committee’s first meeting, providing information on nomination and election process
