Introduction

The Science Olympiad Organization is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing interest in science, and creating a technologically-literate workforce. At Ocean Air, Science Olympiad is a PTA program run by a committee of parent volunteers.

Teams of 15 students compete in 23 academic events in groups of 2-3 students per event. Ocean Air competes in the B Division, which is the Middle School Division including grades 6-8. Students start the year in mid September with lots of learning and exploration, with invitational competitions starting in December and official competitions starting in February.
